Brake lines all mounted, basically
So after 2 sittings the brake and fuel lines are attached back to the floor pan. I used 1/2 inch pop rivets to replace of the plastic push pins. I replaced the rusty line clips other then the really long ones. I also secured the e-brake cable but it's a little too close to the mufflers. I'll need to add another mount point. I fabbed up a set of brackets that mount to the sway bar holes on the control arm, to hold the e-brake cable away from the wheels. I think I may redo them in the future. But for now they will work.
From the back of the front sub-frame forward I used the stock mounting points.
Here you see the 2 pop rivets into the sub-frame that replace the plastic push pins and the 1 new hard line clip in the floor pan.
I separated the lines because the clips were only enough room for 1 line. you can see how the e-brake cable is routed from the caliper to the bracket on the sway bar mount the then into clip on the rear torque box.
The e-brake cable turns at the torque box and follows the beginning of the transmission tunnel but it is to close to the edge of the muffler. I will add another clip pulling it up away from the muffler.
The oe drum brake e-brake cable brackets are still there and i mounted an aluminum clip to guide the cable into the transmission tunnel.
The drivers side is missing the brake lines to keep the e-brake cable in place. I definitely need another clip to hold it away from the muffler on this side.
Stock fuel lines tucked up behind the pinch weld.
Full length view from the torque box forward.
New bracket on the left keeps the line off of the tire. I made them out of some galvanized scraps but hit them with some acid and then painted with rustoleum.
