Made card board brace, cut out of 3/16th flat stock and welded together.

08/31/2018

Created a card board template for my new floor brace. This brace should be stronger then what i cut out. I took the piece of 3/16 flat stock and traced the breaks to the cardboard. Then traced those onto the metal and made the big cuts with the jig saw. Trimmed the small cuts with a grinder and cutting wheel.

Welded all the joints. Now I will grind back the proud welds and drill the new spot weld holes. Think I will borrow a drill press for that one.
