investigation in the lower drivers side A pillar

I did a little investigation in the lower drivers side A pillar since I suspected an area of thin metal. It's more kick panel then A pillar. There are 3 pieces that come together in the pinch weld and the middle one was the rusty one. I trimmed the area, made a paper template. I transferred it to a piece of scrap. Trimmed the patch and drilled 2 plug weld holes.

Installed the new flywheel.  Installed the new clutch.  Installed the clutch fork and throw out bearing  And then the bell housing  Installed a new transmission tailshaft seal.  I built a sled to drag it into place under the car and there's a bolt that fits the center of my jack through the center board. I may have to pull the shift cause there's exactly 19 inches under the pinch weld and thats the same to the shifter nub.

Oil pump and pick-up install

12/10/2018 New oil pump and pickup tube installed and torqued to spec. This ones not mangled. Next is to check oil pan pick-up clearances and warm up the gasket and drape it over the pan for a while. I am probably going to have to heat the garage for 24 hours to get the rtv to set right.
