Holy oil pan taken care of and pilot bearing removed and new one installed

Damaged pan all cleaned up. Hole welded up and ground down and a quick shot of paint and it's ready to go into parts storage.

 

Borrowed a pilot bearing puller from autozone and it popped it right out. Came out in two pieces but very easy. Finished installing the rear main seal and pounded the new bearing in with a socket.

Installed the new flywheel.  Installed the new clutch.  Installed the clutch fork and throw out bearing  And then the bell housing  Installed a new transmission tailshaft seal.  I built a sled to drag it into place under the car and there's a bolt that fits the center of my jack through the center board. I may have to pull the shift cause there's exactly 19 inches under the pinch weld and thats the same to the shifter nub.

Oil pump and pick-up install

12/10/2018 New oil pump and pickup tube installed and torqued to spec. This ones not mangled. Next is to check oil pan pick-up clearances and warm up the gasket and drape it over the pan for a while. I am probably going to have to heat the garage for 24 hours to get the rtv to set right.
