Drivers Side floor ready to be welded, engine ready to be lifted out

Drivers side floor pan all cut cleaned treated with phosphoric acid. Ready to be welded in.


I finally went and got my CO2 /argon welding gas. The 40 cu.ft. tank was a bit pricey $195 but the refills are only $35

The motor is all ready to be lifted out.


Here is the list i recorded as i went:

Remove serpentine belt 
Disconnect A/C electric plug 
Unbolt A/C compressor 1 bolt sheared "bagged bolts" 
Disconnect maf electric 
Disconnect intake tube put intake bracket bolts back into strut tower 
Disconnect drivers side spark plug leads, leads are numbered correctly on the wires 
Move A/C compressor to passenger side frame rail and secure 
Disconnect EGR electric plug 
Disconnect throttle body ground "red ring terminal" and TPS sensor plug 
Disconnect throttle linkage and throttle bracket 
Disconnect salt and pepper shaker main electric connectors 
Disconnect upper intake ground strap 
Pull A/C harness under and through upper intake and lay across firewall 
Loosened upper intake bolts 
Remove lower radiator hose "drain coolant into 5 gal bucket" 
Removed 2 nuts 1 bolt power steering/a/c bracket 
remove oil pressure gauge line 
Disconnect Fuel lines bag and tape 
Disconnect alternator wiring
Disconnect top mount of overflow tank, swing out to the right 
Lift and turn power steering pump upwards and slide off stud 
Disconnect Main negative ground on the block near oil pressure sender 
Disconnect starter harness bracket 9/16 bolt by timing mark indicator 
Remove all upper intake bolts 
Disconnect IAC electric 
Disconnect fuel pressure regulator vacuum line
Disconnect Main vacuum tree hose 
Disconnect PCV from lower intake 
Disconnect oil neck breather 
Remove upper intake
Disconnect distributor TFI Electric plug 
Heater coil hoses 
Unbolt motor mounts 
Tape lower intake 
Use bell housing bolts and power steering bolt to connect load leveler 
Degrease / clean garage floor

Set up crane and engine stand
