Cutting the passenger side floor
06/08/2017
Wohoo, started cutting the passenger floor and grinding down the outer pan spot welds.
I am grinding and chiseling the spot welds because it is less invasive then using a spot weld cutter. I want to avoid punching holes in the rockers since I can not treat the other side if I have to close a hole.
Por15 paint is in the mail to treat the sub-frame after I separate them from the floor pan. I will grind down any excess spot weld and flap disc the seam. Then coat with cold galvanized paint or weld through primer until it's time to put the pans in. Also the pinch weld is very accessible to be repaired once the floor is out.
