Back at the floor pan

04/22/2018

Warm weather is back so I am back at the floor pan. I have 1 more plug weld and then lots of cleaning on the passenger side.

The 3rd pic is a wrinkle in the metal that I had to cut and beat flat to get it against the pan. Basically from the beginning of that cut to the last plug is about 4 hours work in my world. (Tight garage, missing about half the tools i should have and making wedges and copper backing shims as I go)

The to do list on the passenger side:
The last plug weld
Fill pin holes
Seat pan mounts, drill and plug the 8 weld's
Wire knot brush everything
Flap disc all the plugs and seems
Scuff all with scotchbrite
Acetone wipe all
Rust prevention spray
Seam seal
Self etch primer sealer
Por15 top coat or chassis black spray
Seems like a ton of work but I really think I can do all that in one full sitting. The painting needs 65 degrees so I will skip the final coat till it's that warm at night.
