A pillar rust hole

Found a nice rust hole on the A pillar. Probably just make a patch and be done. Looks like there may be water getting in around the windshield frame in the trim holes. That rust inside the hole in the picture is the top of the door hinge brace and I am certainly not pulling the whole A pillar apart because the rest of the panel is pretty good. I will spray ospho rust converter and be done.

I also pulled out the door hinge mounting plates because I have a sheared bolt on one. Letting it soak in pd-blaster before I hit it with a torch and try to break it lose. If I have to drill it out, it is an easy piece to work on.

I may have to pull the shift cause there's exactly 19 inches under the pinch weld and thats the same to the shifter nub.

Oil pump and pick-up install

12/10/2018 New oil pump and pickup tube installed and torqued to spec. This ones not mangled. Next is to check oil pan pick-up clearances and warm up the gasket and drape it over the pan for a while. I am probably going to have to heat the garage for 24 hours to get the rtv to set right.
